We are fortunate to have Martha as an active participant of our schools! Her passion for early childhood education is contagious!

Dan Rockaway is from Pennsylvania. After living in many other states, Dan relocated to North Carolina, where he lives with his wife, Martha, and his daughter, Isabel. He is proud to have a multilingual and bicultural family.

During the past twenty years, Dan has had the opportunity to work and build relationships with people from all over the world through his leadership roles in international organizations. His passion for second language learning, and understanding cultural perspectives, are some of his interests.

As the entrepreneur that he is, and with the knowledge and tools that he acquired through his MBA, Dan started the project that led to our Sounds and Colors Schools.

He co-founded Sounds and Colors with his wife, Martha, in 2011.

Dan’s main roles in Sounds and Colors include: administration, finances, marketing, repairs & maintenance, and long-term strategy.

We are fortunate to have Dan as an active participant of our schools! His philosophy is to continue building programs that will facilitate second language acquisition at an early age through the implementation of high quality early education practices like the ones Sounds and Colors schools offer to the children and families!
